How the shoot works
The shoot starts by getting to know your pet and seeing how they react to the photographic equipment.
Every pet reacts differently so starting the shoot by introducing your pet to me and the camera, helps them to relax and acclimatise. My goal for the shoot is for your pet to think they have had a great play date.
How long the shoot will take
This depends on the pet, on average it takes between 1 to 1.5 hours to get a good set of photos. However, the session allows for up to 2 hours with your pet just to make sure we have plenty of time to get your pet comfortable and being themselves.
NOTE
- Washing your dog the day before is a great idea.
- If you have a long haired pet, you should brush them before the shoot.
For On Location Shoots
- Bring your pets favourite toy.
Use a simple collar and lead, try to avoid using a harness.
The portable studio
The studio requires a minimum floor space of 180cm x 2 metres. If you do not have this amount of space available, please contact me before making the booking to arrange a smaller studio set up.
